Release & Restore: Yin + Restorative Yoga Workshop 

Saturday, November 16th from 2 to 3.30 p.m

Embark on a journey of deep release and restoration with us in a workshop that artfully combines the gentle practice of Yin Yoga with the therapeutic benefits of Self-Myofascial Release.

In this workshop, you will experience the power of longer-held Yin Yoga poses to target the body's deep connective tissues, promoting flexibility and relaxation. Incorporating props such as blocks, bolsters, and therapy balls will help you find a balance of effort and ease in each posture, allowing for a deeper release. Our self-care practice ends with gentle, Restorative Yoga to facilitate deep relaxation.

Saturday, November 16th from 2 to 3.30 p.m. at the Y.M.C.A

Cost: $25 members/$40 non-members

 This floor-based workshop for beginners to experienced yoga practitioners and can benefit athletes and non-athletes alike. Wear warm, comfortable layers, socks, and bring your yoga mat and water bottle. Please leave your cell phone and smart watches at home or in your locker.

A little about Cheri.

Cheri is a lifelong yoga and meditation practitioner who believes in the healing power of mindfulness practices. She completed her first yoga teacher training in 2002 and soon began volunteering at her local Senior Center, where she introduced the benefits of mindfulness practices to an underserved community. Cheri's dedication to helping others find solace and strength through yoga became evident as she witnessed its positive impact on the seniors she worked with. 

Wanting to make a broader impact in her community, Cheri earned specialized certifications in Yin Yoga, Menopause Yoga, Senior Yoga, and guided meditation. Cheri teaches weekly Gentle Yoga and Yin Yoga classes in Ashland, OR. She also offers seasonal workshops and leads women's small group events. 

Cheri is passionate about teaching accessible, trauma-informed, and supportive yoga to everyone. She believes there is a type of yoga and a yoga teacher for anyone who wants to practice. You can practice with Cheri locally in Ashland, OR, or enjoy a free guided meditation on Insight Timer.
